Mya Burns (10) of North Augusta shoots a layup during the first half against Dutch Fork at the girls championship game of the Savannah River Shootout basketball tournament in North Augusta, SC. on Friday, December 22, 2017.

The North Augusta girls became repeat champions of the Savannah River Shootout with an 82-23 rout of Dutch Fork High School.

North Augusta (12-1) never broke a sweat in the tournament. The convincing win came after an 81-30 defeat of Greenbrier Thursday night.

Mya Burns led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with 23, followed by Tyliah Burns with 17, in a game in which they never trailed. Amari Young finished with 13, and Sarah Crews and J'Mani Ingram with eight. Crews was responsible for two of North Augusta's five baskets from beyond the arc.

Aaliyah Bell scored seven, Lania Homes finished with a 3-pointer and Valadia Lewis and Kiana Lee each had two.

There was a scary moment in the third when Bell went down with an apparent knee injury. She managed to walk off the court under her own power and did return soon after.

Madison Golden led the Lady Foxes with nine.

Both teams featured All-Tournament selections. Jala Robertson and Talaysia Barnwell were named, along with North Augusta's Mya Burns and Crews. Tyliah Burns was named MVP of the tournament.

North Augusta is off for the rest of 2017.

The Yellow Jackets pick up where they left off on Jan. 3 at home against Greenbrier.
