The North Augusta Youth Fishing Team participated in the second annual Savannah River Tournament on Feb. 2. Nineteen fish, all jackfish and bass, were caught totaling 27 pounds. Register for softball league

The Belvedere Girls FastPitch Softball League is registering for its spring softball season.

Registration is open to all girls ages 18 and younger. There are no tryouts required.

Registration will be held at the Belvedere Field concession stand every Saturday in February from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Fees are $65 for one child and $40 for each additional child within the same family. The cost includes a team shirt, socks, picture, insurance, a trophy at the end of the season and a drink after each game.

Those who are first-time players should also bring a birth certificate.

Volunteers are also needed to help coach, keep scorebooks and work in the concession stand. Those who are interested in volunteering are encouraged to stop by during a registration time and speak with a league official.
