In its rookie year, North Augusta High School’s robotics club is already a state champion.
On Jan. 31, team Won and Done won the FIRST robotics state competition in Gaffney, S.C. As the state winner, the team will compete at the super-regional level in San Antonio, Texas.
Senior Jonathan Grimm said the competition had a sports atmosphere. They scouted other teams to find those they wanted to partner with, and also to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the competition.
“We just played our cards,” said the 18-year-old.
