North Augusta Public Safety is seeking the community’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.

According to public safety, a black man entered Dollar General, 203 Edgefield Road, close to 9 p.m. Saturday and selected a candy bar before approaching the counter.

After paying for the candy, the clerk opened the register and the man reached across the counter and grabbed money out of the register. There was a brief struggle between the employee and the suspect before the suspect left the store in a beige four-door sedan.

The man was described as in his early to mid-twenties about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 to 170 pounds.
