Brett Johnson of North Augusta was named to the president’s honor list at Coastal Carolina University for the spring semester.

Krissy Dyches of North Augusta graduated from the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. She will attend Clemson University in the fall.

• The fifth-grade end-of-the-year ceremony schedule is 8 a.m. today.

• Pupils will be dismissed at 11 a.m. through Thursday.

• All medications must be picked up by a parent or guardian by Thursday.

• Report cards will be sent home today.

• Registration will be held Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. A parent or legal guardian must register the pupil, pay a $45 fee and provide current information on the registration card.

• Open house will be held Aug. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Fox Creek High

• Today is a half day.

• The last day of school is today.

• Graduation will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Aiken Technical College. All students must be in room 908 no later than 6:15 p.m.

• Students earning a minimum of 61 in any core class will be able to enroll in credit recovery. These students will take a pretest and work on the content they found most challenging throughout the year. Once students demonstrate mastery of this material, they will be able to earn a 70 in place of the failing grade. Students can earn credit recovery in up to two classes. Tuition is $100 per course for half of a unit, $150 for a full unit for initial credit or $250 for the course.

• The Box Top collection winners are: Holloway, 3K, 4K and 5K; Cameron, first grade; Williams, second grade; Franklin, third grade; Pope, fourth grade; and Lusk, fifth grade.

• The award ceremony for fifth grade is 8 a.m. today.

• The year-end program for Holloway’s class is 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Class parties will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Pupils’ daily prescriptions and emergency medications must be picked up by 11 a.m. Thursday. Any remaining prescriptions will be destroyed.

• Registration will be held Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Sixth-grade orientation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 16. All rising sixth graders are encouraged to attend.

• Fees for the 2013-14 school year are $50 per pupil. Additional fees: $6 for band and $10 for GT.
