North Augusta Public Safety officers have arrested a suspect sought in a Thursday carjacking that ended when a vehicle crashed into a business.
According to a news release, Anthony Tashawn Perry, 24, was arrested Sunday at his residence on Celeste Avenue.
Mr. Perry was identified as the suspect who stole a Ford Explorer and briefly eluded officers before crashing the vehicle into the rear of North Augusta Chiropractic on Knox Avenue. The suspect then fled on foot.
He is charged with carjacking, disobeying a lawful order and failure to stop for blue lights and siren.
