NAME: Hampton Williams

SPORT: Cross country

POSITION: Fifth on team

AGE: 15

GRADE: Ninth

SCHOOL: North Augusta High

STAND-OUT MOMENT: At the Blanchard Woods meet. I was like the last feet from the finish line and there were two other guys in front of me. I ran as hard as I could and I caught up with them and won by an inch. That was pretty cool, I guess.

STRENGTHS: Hills.

WEAKNESSES: If I don't find someone to run beside and I am alone it's hard to keep my pace.

GOALS THIS SEASON: Beat my personal record, which I did, so that was good. (now has a PR of 20:10)

COACH'S QUOTE: "Hampton is one of our top runners. He is part of the core group of underclassmen that will hopefully help us qualify for state in the next year or two," said Terrell Wiggins.

Kyle Zercher

SPORT: Basketball

POSITION: Forward

AGE: 17

GRADE: 12th

SCHOOL: Victory Christian

STAND-OUT MOMENT: Last year at the semi-finals of state. We went into double overtime. It was very intense. I kept with it, did my best and I fouled out. But I still feel like I did my best and supported the team.

STRENGTHS: Height, and I think I'm pretty good at boxing out and rebounding.

WEAKNESSES: Catching the ball and getting in good position.

GOALS THIS SEASON: To win state, to be the best team player on the team, to help my team out.

COACH'S QUOTE: "Kyle has been playing many years, the third year playing for me. He's definitely taken a leadership role on the team and has turned into an excellent ball player," said Joey Martin.

Brittany Hurt

SPORT: Volleyball

POSITION: Defensive specialist

AGE: 14

GRADE: Ninth

SCHOOL: Fox Creek High

STAND-OUT MOMENT: When we won region.

STRENGTHS: Digging.

WEAKNESSES: Hitting.

GOALS NEXT SEASON: To win state.

COACH'S QUOTE: "Brittany is not our tallest player and so when she steps back to serve and launches one, she usually surprises her opponents. She is very fast and an excellent passer. She is a great asset to our team and will only get better with more experience," said Megan Jackson.

Aaron Walker

SPORT: Football

POSITION: Quarterback

AGE: 17

GRADE: 11th

SCHOOL: Fox Creek High

STAND-OUT MOMENT: At our last game (against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler) I passed for 238 yards. It was my best game throwing.

STRENGTHS: Being a leader on the field and trying to bring everybody together.

WEAKNESSES: Defense.

GOALS THIS SEASON: To finish strong and on a positive note.

COACH'S QUOTE: "He lead our offense to score 27 (points)," said Russ Schneider.
