The first-year Save the Tatas fundraiser at Fox Creek High School was met with great support.
The event, honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month, kicked off with T-shirt sales with the fundraiser slogan and ended Oct. 28 with a seminar for female students about the importance of self-breast exams.
In honor of University Hospital's visit, the student body was a sea of pink.
The school presented Pam Anderson, of University Hospital, with a $1,500 check for breast cancer research.
