Laptops stolen from North Augusta Middle
North Augusta Public Safety is investigating a break in at North Augusta Middle School over the weekend.
Lt. Robbie Bell said sometime over the weekend, someone broke out a rear window to the school and stole 18 laptops from the computer room.
Public Safety Det. Tim Thornton said this is the third break-in within three months. In each case, laptops were stolen from the same room. He said the area where the thieves gain entrance is an isolated area that makes it easy to break in undetected.
Officials from the school have not returned phone calls, and Area 2 superintendent Rosie Berry would not comment on the incident.
