A man wanted for the robbery of a North Augusta bank was arrested in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Sherrod Jarvis Miller, 47, was spotted driving a burgundy 1993 Mercury with Michigan tags around 10:30 a.m. by an Atlanta Police Department detective, North Augusta Department of Public Safety Lt. Tim Pearson said in an e-mail.
On Wednesday, Lt. Pearson released information about Mr. Miller and his suspected involvement in a Wachovia bank robbery on Oct. 8. The detective who stopped Mr. Miller recognized the vehicle matching the description Lt. Pearson gave, which led to the suspect’s arrest.
Mr. Miller was taken into custody and remains at Fulton County Jail pending extradition.
