Dr. Angela Burkhalter, the former prinicpal of North Augusta Elementary School, was recognized Tuesday as the R. E. Alexander Outstanding K-12 Administrator by the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center.
The Center's director, Gary Senn, presented the award at the Aiken County School Board meeting.
The award recognizes an area educator that promotes science exploration.
