Sophomore year has meant more school involvement for Fox Creek's Ginny Simmons.
Simmons represents the sophomore class for student council and has added the Interact Club and Powder Puff football to her list of after school activities.
Ranked in the top five in her class, Simmons says academics have always been something that just gets done in her house.
"I just try to make good grades," she said. "I know my parents want me to try my best, but if I get a C or something, they just let me know I can do better."
Math has always been a subject that's come naturally to Simmons. She says you either get it or you don't, it's not something she can study for. But she's also enjoying American Government and studying the history of politics.
Outside of school, Simmons has become more involved in activities at TrueNorth Church. This past year she attended a missions trip to Illinois.
Although she has a couple of years before graduation, Simmons has already started toying with the idea of studying pharmacy in college.
