Three Augusta men were charged with armed robbery for an early Friday morning hold up at a gas station, according to North Augusta Department of Public Safety.
Donquail Jamal Booker, 19, Jamarcus Manuel Murray, 26, and Rodriquez Sanchez Roberts, 17, were arrested in Georgia after a robbery at Greg’s Gas Plus on Georgia Avenue.
Officers received a 911 call at 2:26 a.m. about the robbery. An employee outside was approached by three black males with T-shirts wrapped around their faces. The employee was forced to go inside by one of the suspects who was carrying a long gun, according to witnesses. The two other suspects began trying to steal the ATM inside. The men grabbed money from the register and ran out the door. They left the scene in a green Jeep Cherokee headed toward Georgia on the 13th Street Bridge.
A Richmond County Deputy headed home from work heard the broadcast incident and saw a vehicle matching the description on Telfair Street in Georgia and was able to track the suspects to an apartment complex where they were arrested. All three suspects are being held at the Richmond County Detention Center until they return to South Carolina.
