Purse is rifled on kitchen table
A thief stole items from a woman's purse, which was on the kitchen table of her home in the 1100 block of Ridgecrest Avenue.
The 22-year-old victim was cutting grass in the backyard July 25 when she noticed the side door to her home ajar. She did not find anyone inside the house; while shopping for groceries an hour later, though, she noticed her wallet missing from her purse.
She told police she did not see anyone enter the residence. No arrests have been made.
