Two pedestrians robbed along Martintown Road
Two men were robbed at gunpoint as they walked across a gas station parking lot July 5.
The men, ages 20 and 24, told police they were walking across the lot of the BP station at Atomic and Martintown roads just before 11:30 p.m. when a conversion van stopped and three men wearing ski masks emerged and demanded money.
One of the men held a shotgun and another had a handgun.
After the pedestrians gave the robbers their wallets, the masked men drove away.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Homemade bomb catches woods on fire
A 30-by-30-foot area of woods caught fire after someone used a homemade bomb to blow up a toilet July 9 on Old Sudlow Lake Road.
A witness told North Augusta Public Safety officers that he heard the explosion from three miles away.
No arrests have been made.
Burglar rips security system, steals items
Someone threw a brick through a rear window of a residence and burglarized it July 10.
The resident told police that when he got home from work, he found that the intruder also had ripped the security system keypad from the wall of his home in the 600 block of Hutchinson Drive.
The burglar also took jewelry and electronics, according to a public safety report.
No suspects have been identified.
