GREENVILLE, S.C. ---The North Augusta Yellow Jackets took eighth place this week during the Class AAAA state tournament, held Monday-Tuesday at the University of Furman Golf Course.
Dutch Fork blew away the field, finishing at 897, 39 shots better than runner-up Gaffney. Third-place finisher South Aiken was one stroke out of second place, while North Augusta (947) finished eighth.
Dutch Fork's Wesley Bryan captured medalist honors (73-71-71-215). South Aiken's Chandler Brazeal was the lone local player on the All-state team. He tied for seventh after rounds of 77-74-75.
