Megan Cole, a 23 year old second year medical student, Dr. Marcus Fulcher, a MCG orthopaedic surgeon, and his wife Lynn are fit to compete in this weekend's South Carolina Half Triathlon on Lake Greenwood this Sunday, September 30, 2007. The triathlon consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. The swim start is at 7:30 am at the Lake Greenwood State Recreation Area.
Megan Cole along with MCG's triathon competitive team will also compete in Hickory Knob International Triathlon on Saturday, October 13, 2007. The triathlon consists of a 1500 meter swim, 22 mile bike and a 10K run. The swim start is at 9:00 am at the Hickory Knob State resort Park in McCormick, SC. This event is being utilized by the southeast collegiate triathlon teams as their regional championships.
