An Aiken Steeplechase poster signing by the artist Georgene Wright will be held on First Friday, March 2 at Gallery on the Row, 1016 Broad Street, Augusta, GA at 7:30PM.
Georgene Wright was the artist selected to create the painting for the official poster of the 41st running of the Aiken Spring Steeplechase.The original and three oil on canvas companion pieces will be on display and for sale during the First Friday festivities at the gallery. Steeplechase
advance purchase ticket forms will also be available.
Georgene is a well known local artist and co-founder of the Gallery on the Row. She is currently vice president of the newly formed North Augusta Artist Guild, a past president of the Aiken Artist Guild, and frequently participates in many art exhibitions where she has won numerous awards including several Best in Show. Her work may be seen on display at the Gallery on the Row and the Merrimon Gallery in Asheville, NC.
