The Yellow Jackets' offense, averaging 35 points a game, received much of the attention as the team went undefeated in nonregion play. But in front of a 5-AAAA opponent, the defense stood out Friday.

North Augusta sophomore Matt NeSmith won the Orange Jacket Classic last weekend at Anderson Country Club. NeSmith broke the tournament record with a two-round score of 137 to win by two strokes.
