Burglar ransacks home
A North Augusta man found his home ransacked and electronics and clothing missing on March 26.
According to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report, the home in the 500 block of E. Buena Vista was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
The reporting officer found a brick inside the living room that was probably used to break a window to gain entry into the home. Cereal and other food items were poured out, cushions were removed from the couch and dresser drawers had been gone through, the report stated.
Two Sony PlayStation II systems, a laptop computer, clothes and shoes were reported missing, totaling about $2,000 in value, according to the report.
Lottery ticket taken at store
The manager of Save Stop, 10307 Atomic Road, told a North Augusta Public Safety officer that a man stole a $10 lottery ticket March 22.
According to an incident report, a video showed that the man waited until the cashier was distracted and reached across the counter and removed a ticket from the roll. When the ticket dropped on the floor, the suspect went behind the counter to pick up the ticket.
The manager identified the man as a regular customer.
