Man exposes himself
to woman in store
A woman shopping in the North Augusta Wal-Mart on Feb. 5 said a man exposed himself to her.
The woman noticed a man following her as she shopped in the baby section of the Wal-Mart on Knox Avenue about 5 p.m., according to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report.
When she looked in his direction, she saw the man facing her with his genitals exposed. She immediately left the store and called North Augusta authorities.
Woman charged with DUI had daughter in car
A North Augusta woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment after North Augusta Public Safety responded to a two-vehicle collision on Jan. 31.
When an officer spoke with the driver of the at-fault vehicle, Cassandra Rene Courtney of the 800 block of Clearwater Road, she smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, her eyes were bloodshot “and motor skills seemed delayed,” according to the incident report.
“During the collision investigation, the suspect fell asleep multiple times,” the report added.
Courtney’s 4-year-old daughter, who was in the backseat of the vehicle, and the vehicle were turned over to the child’s father, according to the report.
