I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that many of your dreams and wishes came true. Wasn’t it a beautiful sight driving around our area with all of the festive decorations on view? We even had some real winter weather. Thank goodness we didn’t get snow and ice.
Here we are with an exciting new year in our local art world. The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta has a lovely new exhibit up of juried artists that opened Monday. The opening reception is Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free. There are 20-plus artists taking part in this exhibit with works including wood carving, carved gourds, a ceramic mirror, photography, water colors, acrylic, oils and mixed media for you to enjoy while you visit the Arts and Heritage Center. Don’t forget the wonderful items in the gift shop. The exhibit runs through the end of February.
The center will also host the North Augusta Sports Hall of Fame exhibit on the second floor in February.
