Parade entries

Parade entries for the annual North Augusta Evening Lions Club Christmas Parade are being accepted.

Entry forms are available at the Greater North Augusta Chamber of Commerce office, 406 West Ave. The deadline to submit forms is Nov. 29.

The parade will be 2 p.m.Dec. 8. This year’s theme is Christmas Memories.

Veterans honored

The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council will have its 10th annual free Veterans Concert on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church’s Wesley Center. The community can honor family and friends who are serving or have served in any branch of the United States military by having their names printed in the concert’s program and announced during the performance. A $10 donation is required to honor a veteran. Forms are available at www. Naartscouncil.org and are due by Nov. 1.

Festival is Saturday

The annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown North Augusta along Georgia Avenue and in Jackson Square. The event will feature arts and crafts, costume contests, games, rides, an apple dessert contest, entertainment, barbecue cook-off, corn hole tournament, and a car show. Call (803) 441-4300.

Candy drop

The annual Trenton Flyers Candy Drop will be Saturday at the Edgefield County Airport on Yonce Field in Trenton. Planes will be on display at 11:30 a.m. and candy will be dropped from the sky at noon for children ages 12 and under. It will be held rain or shine.
