Women arrested for taking tires from parts company

Two women were arrested Sept. 13 after stealing tires from Tires Plus, 404 E. Martintown Road, according to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report.

An employee told officers that they saw the women – later identified as Susanne Michelle Williams, of the 3700 block of Augusta Road in Bath and Rebecca Gail Smith of the 600 block of Seymour Drive in North Augusta – place two tires in the back of their vehicle shortly after 10:30 a.m.

The women were stopped a short distance away from the location at the entrance to Crossroads Market Plaza.

The tires, valued at $200, were returned to Tires Plus.

Williams, 32, and Smith, 35, were arrested and charged with simple larceny.

Dental office burglarized

The owner of Charles A. Williams Dentistry, 401 Metz Drive, reported that his dental office was broken into between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13.

The owner told officers that someone had entered the business by prying open a side door. About two dozen sealed syringes were taken, according to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report.
