National Recovery Month observed
The Aiken Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Services, Second Judicial Circuit Alcohol Enforcement Team and the Substance Abuse Free Environment Team will have a panel discussion and art exhibit Tuesday in observance of National Recovery Month.
The Addiction Art Exhibit: Addiction, Its Treatment and Recovery will feature artwork by Aiken Center group participants. It will be viewable from 12:15 to 5:15 p.m.
TUF Talk: What You Should Know panel discussion will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The discussion will include information about the consequences of the use alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and synthetic marijuana; the signs, symptoms and behaviors of someone who is impaired or using alcohol or other drugs; and the packaging of alcohol and tobacco products. Experts and professionals will be available to answer questions regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; criminal charges; and relationships.

Constitution Week will be observed
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution-Martintown Road Chapter will observe Constitution Week next week.
Constitution Week, held Tuesday through Sept. 23, celebrates the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
C. Rauch Wise, an attorney from Greenwood, S.C., will be the guest speaker for the chapter’s meeting which will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Presbyterian Church, 1101 Carolina Ave. Wise will discuss the Constitution and the law. The meeting is open to the public.
