A North Augusta man is facing charges of inappropriately touching children.
According to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office news release, Dwayne Lee Rudd, 40, of Willow Lane, was booked June 10 after an investigation into information provided to authorities.
He has been charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the third degree and five counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree.
Teen charged in school break-in
A North Augusta teen was arrested and charged June 5 with breaking into Paul Knox Middle School.
North Augusta Public Safety officers responded to the school at 1804 Wells Road around 2 a.m. When officers arrived, they saw a young man, later identified as Micheal Solich, walking away from the school.
After an officer told him to stop, he fled. He was later found at his home in the 1800 block of Roan Avenue. He admitted that he broke into the school.
Several computers were damaged and a large landscaping stone had been thrown through a window.
Solich was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and simple possession of marijuana.
