Armed Forces Day pancake breakfast

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71 will have an Armed Forces Day pancake breakfast May 18 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post 71, 333 E. Spring Grove Ave.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, milk, coffee and juice.

Tickets are $5 each in advance and can be purchased at Sno-Cap, Parks Pharmacy or by contacting Linda Smiley at (706) 831-9624 or lindansmiley@comcast.net.

Tickets will be $6 at the door.

SRS workers can schedule checkup

Savannah River Site employees can now schedule appointments with Georgialina Physical Therapy Associates at its on-site location.

The clinic is located at 719-5N and is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional days and hours may be added depending on demand.

Host sites needed for food program

Host sites are needed for the Summer Food Service Program organized by the USDA. The program provides children with meals they would normally receive during the school year.

Applications are being accepted for host sites in North Augusta and Edgefield, McCormick and Saluda counties. Organizations, churches and apartment complexes are encouraged to apply.
