The North Augusta Greeneway from Riverview Park Activities Center to Cypress Drive is closed until further notice. Crews are repairing the trail, according to the city’s Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services department.

South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will have its annual Driver Suspension Eligibility Week from Monday through March 15.

The program will help drivers younger than 18 suspended for excessive points; drivers suspended for operating an unlicensed vehicle; those suspended for operating an uninsured vehicle; and drivers who were suspended for driving under suspension, not including alcohol or drug related convictions. The Family Y of Greater Augusta recently launched its annual community support campaign. Its goal for the Family Y’s North Augusta and downtown Augusta branches is $55,000.

The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council is accepting applications for its fine arts scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior residing within Aiken County School District’s Area II who demonstrates excellence in an artform and plans enroll in an accredited college or university in fall 2013 and major in an art discipline.

Applicants can attend public, private, charter or home school. Applications are available at www.naartscouncil.org and must be returned by March 31. The recipient will be announced in May.
