CMONA deals

Community Ministry of North Augusta Thrift Store, 646 E. Buena Vista Ave., is currently having sales on Christmas items and clothing.

Through Saturday, all clothing is 50 percent off. Through Dec. 29, all Christmas items are 50 percent off.

The thrift store offers a 10 percent Senior Day discount every Friday.

The thrift store is open 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.

Donors needed

Donors are still needed for the Christmas Store, an outreach to provide assistance to area families during the holiday season.

Clothing and gift donations are needed for children. Those interested in becoming a donor should contact Louvenia Mathews at (803) 279-2737 or Lori Mathews at (803) 270-8960 to get a list of gift choices and other information such as clothing and shoe sizes.

Donors may select the age group they would like to sponsor, but are asked to keep in mind that older children also need sponsorship.

Gifts can be turned in through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of North Augusta’s Family Life Center.

Parade winners

The following were winners in the North Augusta Lions Club Christmas Parade:

Noncommercial category: North Augusta High School band and cheerleaders, first place; Belvedere Elementary School, second place; and North Augusta Elementary School, third place. Commercial category: Premier Martial Arts, first place; RoseAnn’s Flower Shop and Fox Creek High School cheerleaders, second place; Rhythm and Class Dance Studio, third place.
