Athlete Spotlight: Jack Ellefson

SPORT: Baseball

POSITION: Third base

AGE: 10

GRADE: Fifth

SCHOOL: North Augusta Elementary

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BASEBALL? It was a sport my dad played, and I kind of wanted to follow in his footsteps. 

WHAT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT THING TO DO IN BASEBALL? Being a good sport when you lose.

STANDOUT MOMENT: In travel, mostly throwing people out at second when I'm catching.

STRENGTHS: Hitting

IMPROVEMENT GOAL: Working on moving up to different positions

WORST INJURY: None

TRAINING ROUTINE: My dad takes me to Best 9 (Sports Academy).

WHY IS BEING INVOLVED IN SPORTS IMPORTANT? It keeps your body in shape and it's good exercise for me and everybody out here.
