I would like to give a BIG Thank You to our public safety and fire departments. The other day my power line caught fire and their response was so quick I already had officers here as I was hanging up with 911. I am so appreciative of all the officers and fireman.
My family and I are glad that our city has such dedicated public safety officers and fireman to care for everyone here.
My name is Timothy ( Tim ) Monroe Bledsoe of North Augusta, S.C. I am a parent of one student, out of hundreds of students plus faculty, that attends one of 6 school buildings in Aiken County that have been deemed as sub-standard and in great need of repairs and or expansion by the Aiken County School Board of Education and Administration.
We, the students, faculty, and parents were shown pictures of these sub-standard conditions over 2 years ago. The Board Members and Administration are still stating that most of these sub-standard conditions are existing even today!
What is bothering Aiken County students, faculty, and parents is that the board members and administration are planning yet another tax increase specifically to increase salaries and hire more personnel! We, the Aiken County students, faculty, and parents truly believe that any new taxes should and must go to repairs/expansions of sub-standard school buildings!
We hope that you will take the following complaint form seriously. This is not a threat, but a promise, “If I hear of any students or faculty becoming ill and/or hurt by these on-going health and safety concerns, I will make it my business to let the public of Aiken County know that I requested a full and un-biased inspection by S.C. DHEC and S.C. OSHA, and S.C. Health and Human Services!
We, the tax payers of Aiken County, are sick and tired of these over-paid and under-worked administrators taking our tax dollars and giving absolutely nothing to the school building fund! Is that quite clear?
