Poem: God's Library

Posted: May 1, 2012 - 8:09pm  |  Updated: May 1, 2012 - 8:18pm

The book I read most recently just thrilled me through and through

For I observed a Christians life, perhaps my friend twas you

You were such an inspiration and I needed that so much

You have no way of knowing how many lives you’ve touched

Your story was not fiction; indeed I know it’s true

And my heart was surely lifted at a time when I was blue

The plot was well constructed and the central figure great

For the pathway that you painted was love instead of hate

Again we would commend you, for your life’s a great endeavor

BILLY ARRINGTON IS THE POET LAUREATE FOR SWEETWATER BAPTIST CHURCH IN NORTH AUGUSTA.

And my memories as I read your book will surely last forever

Then as you write new pages I pray you won’t forget

That God is surely using you and he is not through yet

Like any book with substance we see a pattern there

For one can see that you love God, and that love you want to share

The story shows that in your life that there is so much depth

A place of honor must be reserved for it on God’s
bookshelf
