So a brand new year now comes to be
Will this year be like all the rest?
Will your time be spent more wisely?

Your friend who’s very ill
Will you hear that small voice urging?
Go now and do God’s will
Will you spend some time with loved ones?
For life is speeding by
And we may not see tomorrow
For today may be our time to die
And spend some time alone with God
Make him your closest friend
And he’ll always walk beside you
Each step until the end
Then he’ll reach down to guide you
When your work on earth is done
And Heaven’s doors will open wide
