A child may someday ask you sir, How far from here is Heaven?
Think fast what will your
answer be for someone who’s six or seven
Will you say more than a
billion miles somewhere in outer space?
The answer is not easy for we have not seen that place
Well I don’t have the answer but let him stand this test
Just take his little hand in yours and place it on his chest
For him to ask this question there is a searching deep inside
And you should feel so
honored that in you he will confide
I have not been to heaven nor seen those streets of gold
But my precious Lord has promised that those sights I will behold
So I think that I would tell him in this kind and
simple way
Heaven my little Christian friend is just one
heartbeat away
