Deadline to run for board approaching
Fox Creek High School’s board of directors has a vacancy.
Those interested in running for the seat should go by the school at 165 Shortcut Road to fill out a declaration of candidacy.
The deadline to file
for candidacy is 4 p.m. Friday.
Elections will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 12. The winner will be determined by popular vote.

Library hopes to start LEGO club
Nancy Carson Library is looking for donations of new or used LEGOs to begin a LEGO Club for elementary-age children in February.

Council to hold
membership kickoff
The Heritage Council of North Augusta will hold its annual membership kickoff from 4 to 7 tonight at the North Augusta Community Center, 495 Brookside Ave.
"A Toast to the Hampton Terrace - The Season That Never Was" will feature the hotel that burned Dec. 31, 1916, and memorabilia of the Palmetto Lodge.
The event is free, and there will be a brief business meeting at 6 p.m.
