Local woman was last seen Nov. 25
Aiken County authorities are searching for a 25-year-old woman who has been missing for more than two weeks. Angel Phelps was last seen around 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at her parents’ residence in the 100 block of Palmetto Avenue in North Augusta.
Phelps does not have a driver’s license or known medical conditions. She has been known to stay at various locations in Warrenville.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (800) 922-9709.
Public safety offers checks on homes
North Augusta residents planning to go out of town may contact North Augusta Public Safety to be added to the department’s vacation list. Officers will check on the home and contact the homeowner if anything seems suspicious or out of place. People may also call to have officers do a well-being check on their home.

Habitat receives large donation
The Potash Corp. recently gave the largest donation Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta has ever received, $25,000.
The donation will be used to start Habitat’s 14th house in 2012.
Meybohm names award recipients

Sallie and Steve Dubay were Sales Agents of the Month and Shari Alexander was Listing Agent of the Month.

County holiday trash schedule
Aiken County's solid waste operation s will be closed Saturday and reopen Monday, including those that are normally closed on Mondays.
For the New Year's Day holiday, locations will be closed Dec. 31 and reopen Jan. 2.

Post 71 meeting space for rent
The Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post 71’s new home on East Spring Grove Avenue is available for rent.
The facility offers seating for 224 at tables, or about 300 in a theater-style setting. The stage area has a restroom with shower, dressing room, rear ramp for stage equipment and drop-down screen with projector and audio video and sound systems, according to a news release. The catering canteen offers a food warmer, sink, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker and serving window. There is also a smaller meeting room that can hold up to 20 people. Documentary to be sold at Walmart
Bryton Entertainment LLC., a two-man video production company in North Augusta, has a documentary about the Tuskegee Airmen that was picked up by Walmart. The documentary, In Their Own Words: The Tuskegee Airmen, will be available in early January at Walmart, according to a news release.
