Upcoming trips by Aiken County PRT
Aiken County Parks, Recreation and Tourism will host a trip to Wadmalaw, S.C., on Friday and Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, S.C. on Nov. 9.
The Wadmalaw trip will include a visit to the historic Angel oak tree, Stono Market, Charleston Tea Plantation, Irvin House Vineyards and lunch at Tomato Shed Café. Cost is $50 per person, which does not include lunch, and reservations are required by Sept. 12.
The Shaw Air Force Base tour is $25, which does not include the cost of lunch on base. Deadline to register is Oct. 26. A background check is required to be allowed to enter the base.

Auditions for Eli’s Bethlehem Inn
ENOPION Theatre Com-pany is holding auditions for its musical dinner theater, Eli’s Bethlehem Inn, by appointment only.
The play has five main characters and 15 supporting roles. There are five performances scheduled Nov. 29-Dec. 7.
To audition, prepare a one minute monologue and a song. Participants must be 15 or older.
Auditions will be at the Kroc Center, 1833 Broad St., Augusta. Rehearsals begin Sept. 27. To schedule an audition, call (706) 771-7777.
Barbecue competition and cornhole tournament
Support 1 will have a barbecue competition and cornhole tournament Oct. 12-13 at Augusta Riverwalk Marina in downtown Augusta.
Entry fee is $100 per team. Sponsorships of $500, $250 and $100 are available.

Pageant entry deadline approaching
The Miss Western Carolina State Fair Pageant will be held Oct. 13 and deadline to enter is Oct. 8.
Each participant will receive a tiara. Cost is $55 for all events.
