From Adam and Eve, until today, a bad habit was formed,
And it goes this way,
What happens is blame must always be placed
On someone else of the human race.
Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the snake,
Neither would admit to the terrible mistake,
Of not doing what was asked of them,
They climbed deceit's tree, which had only weak limbs.
The repercussions will last ’til the last man is gone.
Our lies are imperfect, so we busily hone
The skill, the fine art, and will stand in disgrace
And say we didn't do it, with egg on our face.
We lie for good reason
And for no reason at all,
Marching blithely behind the piper
That caused Adam and Eve's fall.
