North Augusta City Council said farewell to one councilman and welcomed two new members during the regular meeting Monday night.

Outgoing councilman Arthur Shealy was recognized by Mayor Lark Jones for his service to North Augusta. Shealy, who had served on city council since 2000, challenged the council to continue to work hard for the city of North Augusta.

Judge Thomas Murphy then administered the oath of office to Jones, councilwoman Pat Carpenter and the two newcomers to city council—Fletcher Dickert and David McGhee—as family and friends watched from the audience.
