North Augusta Girl Scout receives top award

North Augusta Girl Scout Olivia Bernard was among 32 Girl Scouts recognized Sunday with the Gold Award by the Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands.


The ceremony was held at Presbyterian College.


Olivia, a member of Troop 5083, held a DRIVE4COPD event to raise awareness about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for her Gold Award project.


The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.
