Several events are being held today in North Augusta from festivals to fundraisers. Below is a listing of some of those events:

DEA TAKE BACK DAY: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today; hosted by Parks Pharmacy and North Augusta Public Safety; unused and expired medications will be collected for proper disposal; liquids are not included; privacy will be protected; Parks Pharmacy, 437 Georgia Ave.

FAMILY EARTH DAY: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today; hosted by city of North Augusta; local organic farmers, healthy eating and food vendors, clean energy awareness, fishing clinic, free plants from Master Gardeners, animals and children activities; information provided on gardening, farming, making soap and more; Brick Pond Park, 88 Georgia Avenue

27TH ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today; dunk booth, obstacle course, bounce house, photo booth, games, crafts strawberry bake-off and strawberry shakes, shortcake and jam; Our Lady of Peace School, soccer field, corner of Knox and LeCompte Avenues

BOOT DRIVE FOR RELAY FOR LIFE: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today; held by North Augusta Public Safety’s Relay for Life team; donation go to the North Augusta/Midland Valley Relay for Life; drive will be held at North Augusta Chick-fil-A and Firehouse Subs on Knox Ave.

NINTH ANNUAL SWEET CELEBRATIONS: 6-10 p.m. today; will feature a variety of desserts from local bakeries and entertainment by the Crew Chorus and Elvis, portrayed by Russ Schneider; tickets are $10 and be purchased from CommuniGraphics, Jim Bush Florist, Parks Pharmacy and the Greater North Augusta Chamber of Commerce; benefits the RECing Crew; North Augusta Community Center, 495 Brookside Ave.
