North Augusta SpringFest has been canceled for Saturday due to expected bad weather.
“Unfortunately we will not be able to reschedule the 2013 North Augusta Springfest,” said John Felak, program coordinator with the North Augusta Department of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services. “We are not going to reschedule because the following weekends are taken up with Easter events, the Masters and spring break.”
The Living History Park plans to go forth with its event Branching Out for Wildlife on Saturday “rain or shine”, said Lynn Thompson, chairwoman of the Living History Park and president of the Olde Towne Preservation Association.
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first 200 attendees will be given a sapling courtesy of the National Wildlife Federation. Available trees are dogwood, beach and sugar maple.
Activities planned include demonstrations and activities about wildlife and nature. Vendors will have nature-oriented items for sale. The concession stand will also be open.
The Living History Park is located at 299 W. Spring Grove Ave..
