Dancer wins North Augusta Idol

The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council held its ninth annual North Augusta Idol Talent Show on Tuesday.

The show, held at North Augusta High School, included 25 acts from North Augusta’s elementary, middle and high schools.

This year’s winner was Mary Tabor, who danced to This Woman’s Work by Maxwell. She dedicated the dance to those who have been affected by cancer and their families. The North Augusta High School senior also received the Mim Woodring Award for Excellence.

Elementary school category

FIRST PLACE: Tyreek Jennings, Mossy Creek Elementary

SECOND PLACE: Heidi Coughenour, Hammond Hill Elementary

Middle school category

FIRST PLACE: Kevin Arnold, North Augusta Middle

SECOND PLACE: Michael Nicholson, Kyle Simpkins, Zach Mooney and Dylan Smith, North Augusta Middle

High school category

FIRST PLACE: Juliann Lloyd, North Augusta High

SECOND PLACE: Ariana Williams, North Augusta High
