The service is for Aiken County residents, with “special attention to those ages 60 and older,” according to a news release.

Volunteers trained by the Internal Revenue Service will prepare and electronically file tax returns from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays at the Nancy Carson Library, 135 Edgefield Road.

The service is also being offered at the Aiken County Public Library, 314 Chesterfield Street in Aiken, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To make an appointment, call (803) 279-5767 for the Nancy Carson Library or (803) 642-2020 for the Aiken Public Library.

Bring picture ID, Social Security cards for the person filing and all dependents, copies of 2011 federal and state tax returns, current year W-2 forms, 1099 forms and other relevant materials needed to prepare 2012 returns.
