Dr. John Edward Janik has been found.
Georgia Health Sciences University police found Janik late Wednesday afternoon and he has returned home "safe and unharmed", according to a news release from North Augusta Public Safety.
Janik's family filed a missing persons report with public safety on Tuesday after Janik never arrived to work at GHSU and the family was not able to reach him.
